NouveauChic Model Releases

Model releases are a tricky thing, especially for a new model! "It may surprise you to know that the photographer isn't ultimately culpable for images that are published without a release. It's the publisher of an image that carries all the liability. Yes, whoever it is that puts the image into use needs to have the photo released."† For this reason, before I will publish any images of you, I will require a written statement of release permitting me to do so. That is the law in the state where I live and publish from.

Now obviously since the goal here is to provide models with a simple, stress free manner to get their portfolio onto the internet, I am not going to get real meticulous about model releases. As long as I can trust that the images you send me to publish on your behalf are genuinely of you,... the obvious, implied permission given in the application form you fill out will suffice for my purposes.
